Looking for longer dogbones or CVDs for WT-01

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I have upgraded my Mud Blaster 2 (WT-01) with the taller shock towers from GPM and some 103mm shocks. Due to the length of the shocks the axles (stock dogbones or GPM CVDs, doesn´t matter) do pop out often.

I was using shorter shocks before but didn´t like the stance and handling.

So is anybody out there who has a similar setup and knows some slightly longer dogbones or CVDs?

Thanks.

If I remember correctly then DT-02 bones are the same length.

If you use longer ones will you not hit issues as the arms move up past center and shorten the distance?

O rings to hold the bones central might work.

You can get odd sizes here

That might just explain it.

New cases are only £12.50 from EBay so it should not take much to get you back on the road.

A new gearbox is already on its way to me, can´t wait to replace it!

Approx. 25 € plus shipping.

Are you stripping it and swapping the races over?

I find they have a little to much grease in as standard

I bet it was that stump I didn´t see because it was literally invisible.

Yes, I am only going to use the gearbox shell.

EDIT: ****, I have discovered further damage. Now I have to also replace both chassis which means I have to take the car fully apart. What a bummer...

I am contemplating reinforcing the chassis the same way as the body by using glass fiber tape and Shoe Goo. At least in some crucial spots to keep the added weight low.
