Aluminium steering uprights on a Lunchbox - strong enough?

Has anyone fitted aluminium steering uprights to a Lunchbox / Pumpkin etc instead of the Tamiya nylon ones ? . I was thinking of fitting some but wondered if they are strong enough if the wheel gets knocked hard and has anybody had one break ? . The servo saver takes the strain I know but would like to hear from anyone who has fitted them . Thanks

Got the aluminium steering arms fitted.  They look great and fit well , we'll see how they hold up.
