The avante centre diff is a direct fitment to Avante, Avante 2001,Egress, and the  Vanquish, it could also be fitted to the Vajra

Can that little propeller shaft handle mild brushless power? Are these models decent bashers or are they too complex and meant for racing?

I  run a 6.5 T in my Egress, occasionally with a 3s lipo.

These cars are fantastic runners

TRF801x and TRF801xt have center diffs.

The steel propeller shaft is much thicker, heavier, and stronger than wire shafts that come with DF01, TA01, TA02.  (but you can upgrade them with a similar steel shaft)  If "mild" is between 17.5t to 10.5t, I think it won't have any problem.  The diff, however, isn't as strong as the shaft.    

TLT-1, for example, has a center diff too.  It's a crawler.  If only two of the front wheels are grabbing, the center diff needs to pull the entire weight.  It's too weak for that, so it slips (despite the fact that it's got 10 balls, rather than 6 balls of the Avante).  Since Avante is a buggy, it should be alright.  All 4 wheels would just spin in the dirt, well before the diff gets enough load to slip.

Another related option if you can find one is the Manta Ray one way torque splitter which puts a one way system in the front bevel gears instead of the diff casing allowing you to still run a front diff but get the one way effect on turn in. Will fit any DF01 derived buggy from Manta Ray up to Top Force. 

Any particular reason you want a centre diff? Even the TRF 4wd buggies didn't have one.
