Hey guys, might seem a bit of a strange question, however, when painting the hard bodies of your models, how do you finish the inside of the body? Do you bother adding a coat of paint or do you just leave as is, only painting the outside?

Was just wondering what everyone else does!

If it's a white body, I usually paint it black or the same colour as the outside.
For bodies moulded in dark plastic, I don't bother.

Leave unfinished and smoke the windows so you cant see inside normally unless you have a driver and cockpit/interior you wish to have visible then i would spray the inside black or dark grey and then roughly mask inside and paint the outside as normal and clear coat. Then any overspray on the inside can be touched up by brush later as its only flat black and doesnt matter if it looks a bit rough.

I tend to throw a quick coat of the outside colour around the inside before I paint the outside.  Painting the inside later might mean you get rough overspray patches on the outside where it shows.

If I'm doing a more detailed build I might consider painting the inside in a more appropriate colour first and then masking it before spraying the outside but it's not easy to mask around the window openings without getting some bleed, so some manual touching with a brush might be needed.

Thanks all, some good advice there! I did a similar thing with my Monster Beetle a year or so ago. I’m currently building a Blackfoot 2016 so will take a similar approach again!
