Recommend a charger

Paranoia on my part I guess. I'm reassured by what you've said though. I do remember charging nicads until they were very hot when I had a Falcon at age 13 - as a grown up I'm a bit more cautious .

There's a setting in "system" for cut-off temp, but no display while charging ... for LiPo, that is. I've yet to charge my NiMH batteries.

Say, what's that micro-USB plug for? Just says "PC Link" in the manual but there doesn't seem to be any software for it...

I have a lot of chargers mainly for all my Lipos. IMO the bests charger you can get is a ISDT as can been seen here with orange on it. They do have several models. https://www.isdt.info/

Have you tried pressing the arrow buttons during charging? There are additional charging details in there and that's where I find the charger internal and sensor external temperature.

Yes, but as I've said, I've only charged LiPo on it so far so even with the temp sensor on, there's no data. I *assumed* it's only an option with the NiMH charge program...

Going to do the NiMH tomorrow, cos the Clod needs a run and the MT is still coated in mud, and I can here it in the motor  So we'll see then.

For racing drones I bring maybe 10-12 lipos for a day of flying, and as they can't be fully charged for more than a short while, this is my soloution.

I charged my first lipos today and no there isn't the option to have temperature cut off. I need to try and figure out the memory function to store each battery.

If that's like mine, then it's an option ... somewhere I keep stumbling on it and thinking "I should really do that" but then move on. Pretty sure it's in general settings...

If you push the < > keys, you get additional information about the battery as it charges too, like per-cell voltage and % full.
