There as close as id found. Unfortunately i know the real wheel they are ment to be and they would be weird on a porsche. Might be the only option though.

Yeah, they are the most 70s looking wheel I know of. To be honest the original tamiya ones were not particularly correct for a porsche even in 6 spoke. I think they were meant to imitate a fuchs rim but are closer to an american muscle car style.

Tamiya's original "wheel sin" was not giving the 934, their very first RC model, the proper wheels it deserved  It's a pattern repeated throughout the entire RC lineup to this very day.

I agree with Superluminal's assessment of the HPI wheel set -- you're gonna be hard-pressed to find something more period correct than these. There just aren't a lot of wheel choices from the 1970s design era. It's a niche that I really wish someone would step up and fill, because there seems to be an inexhaustible supply of both old and new Tamiya models that *need* them lolol.

Plus they are ugly as sin.

Graemevw, You could use a set of RSR Fuch wheels. What are your plans for this model?

The 58001 was green?. The black special was later?

The Black Special 934 was the "special" version of 58001, and didn't have a 58xxx number assigned to it. The black special also came with the same wheels as 58001: Grey, plastic, 6-spokes.

And so did the tamtech black porsche, and those wheels are available. If only i could make them bigger!

Id be half tempted to use the hpi 8 spokes, having an even amount of spokes throws the eye less than having 5.

Even wondering how hard it would be to cast some! Very id guess.

Careful, you're gonna conjure the 3D printer folk

There's plenty of examples around of the 1/10 934s mated with those 5-spoke wheels, and personally I find it them to be suitable to the scale and tribute to the original, but I really think the 8-spoke wheels look better overall.

Basically, imo, this is how it should have been done:

I've got a set of those and they are nice however they cost darn near what the kit goes for.

It doesn't take much to challenge us folk, if my plate were clear I'd have it done by now.

Those are Panasports, Is there a mini wheel (Those are Panas) that comes in a 1.9 size?

Yeah, a few different manufacturers did some -- HPI did them in the "vintage" lip profile that requires the compatible "vintage" tires if you want the correct fit/look. It's sort of a shortcut to the old high-profile tires look of the era. Unfortunately this limits tire choice, so one big strike against them imo. My favorite aspect about these is that they are 5-lug, which is unique to the HPI rendetion of Panasport wheels. 👍

Yokomo did some that were plated in matte silver, but not familiar with the sizes/varieties that were offered. Also hard to find? Probably. They were released years ago and ate up by drifters. 4-lug, as they were Watanabes intended for Toyota tofu delivery vehicles and the like ;)

I also know Topline did some in various colors and offsets, as I have a few in my own collection. They are made as deep as +12mm, and look great considering the size of production these sprang from. Also harder to find nowadays, but they're out there.

Lastly, Kyosho did a black set for the Nostalgic Skyline, which are also 4 lug, and only a +2 offset. I have a set of these as well, but they would be the rarest on this list. I've always felt strongly that this particular design was most deserving of another run. They just look good B)

Someone needs to get them modeled then! 😎

Wonder if we could get shodog to get measurements out to someone like AMPRO or the like to see if they can make something happen.

Would be good, id imagine a few people would want them. Unfortunately i can barely turn a computer on. Id have more luck carving one from billet alloy than creating a 3d printer file.
