I have been modelling most of my builds after real trucks.  Time to model one after a toy...

Nice

We need more details. What body, what wheels and tyres and more importantly a photo with the original Hotwheels car sat on the back :wub:

That's the one, Bromley!  It's a "collector" Hot Wheels now, so I can't see spending upwards of $20 for the die cast car.

It was cold and raining on Saturday when I painted, so the blue bled into the yellow stripe.  I should have waited until it was above 70  degrees to paint. I can live with it since this one is the basher/crawler. The other scale rigs have pristine paint.

Parts list;

Axial Raw Builder's Kit

Reef's servo

Mamba 2850 brushless

ProLine SR5 body

Scalerfab bumpers

Wertymade sliders

Gearhead 6 shooter LED bar

Gmade XD Diaphragm shocks 85mm, soft rear springs

Jazzrider alum shock mounts, trans plate, bumper mounts

Hot Racing red balls

Integy LCG carbon fiber front battery mount & bumper mount servo

Unbranded 1.9 alum wheels

ProLine BF Goodrich All Terrain G8 tires

alum 7mm clamping hexes

stainless pumpkin guards

stainless screws

Robinson 17t pinion

I always loved the Kyosho Chevy 4x4 from the early 80's, so I made an SCX10 mud truck in it's livery to have a runner rig for the wet winter season. This one has all the electronics sealed up tight (Savox 1210, AE-5, Tamiya CR-tuned, silica-gel in the RC box) to stay reliable in creek runs. I found that the Mamba brushless ESC I use in other rigs gets wonky when the sensor wire is wet, so this one has basic electronics.

Just finished painting, now to cut holes for the body posts.  The SEMA drift Tacoma was inspiration for the paint.

With the extra time lockdown brings, I thought I'd update this thread to post pics of some of my other RC's;

This is the newest project - a full option M08.  I'm still awaiting more TRF and YR parts and a Ghia body in the mail.

I like a lot some of your bodies there. The Chevy homage looks very nice. Those tires look good! Also, that Sidewinder...ohhh... that one sure looks gorgeous! More pictures of that one would not hurt :D

Here she is.  It started life a re-re Scorpion and evolved into this dusty shelf queen.  There's parts from Option House, Pargu, Rogue Element, Team Blue Groove, RC4WD (1.5 tires), and several more I forgot.  The only OEM part left is the gear box housing and 4 of the gears.  Embarrassingly, I still haven't made the body mounts.

You did a superb job with that Sidewinder body. It's flawless! :)

By the way, that looks more like a Tomahawk reissue to me.
