Anyone tried a Comical Grasshopper body and wheels on a GF01 yet?

Recommended Posts

Both of my kids have GF01 chassis and I think they are one of the best chassis ever made by Tamiya. They can blast along, wheelie, but also you can drive them slowly and crawl.

Really liking the look of the Grasshopper (and excited about the Hornet) and wanted to know if there are any issues fitting the body and the wheels to a GF01.

Do let me know if you have done it. Pictures would be awesome!

The rims should fit, tires are another thing. Rear have great look but grip is really bad, not to speak when using the fronts for 4wd.

Next fitting the shell, the grasshopper is a bad fit, rear gf01 body mounts are to far apart.

I got the China repro hornet shell which might fit as it's wider in the rear but still difficult fit for the bodyposts.

In Both cases u would have to change the width of the rear mounts.
