Turnip restomods a TA-01 for Jason1145

Recommended Posts

I really enjoyed the rebuild thanks!

The design is easy to work on, the parts were in great condition once they had been cleaned, the hop-ups you sent all fitted correctly and the project went very quickly and smoothly as a result.

I am now seriously considering adding a TA-01 or TA-02 to my fleet too!

The car is now enroute back to its owner, so that is my part done.

Hopefully we will see some photos and possibly even a running video when it gets back! Hint hint! :)

Another great resto TJF, it did turn out well, Jason will be stoked when he receives it.

Whats the next model in the queue?

Could you be tempted to take on my gorgeous M38 Wild Willy?

I’ll even use Royal Mail for you 😉

I hope Jason will be pleased. It should be back with him any time now.

Not sure what the next project will be, but I think I will stick with the not-terribly-rare models for now. One of the things that made this project so enjoyable was the lack of stress - I knew that if (heaven forbid) I did mess up any parts during the process, I could simply buy Jason a replacement without delaying the project unduly or costing an arm and a leg.

The rarer vintage models however are a bit more stressful - I would of course be most careful, as I was with your Sand Scorcher, but I would still worry about every little step, probably taking far longer than necessary with no real improvement to the quality of the final product.

I do however very much appreciate that you would be willing to entrust me with your M38! :)

That all makes perfect sense and I have no doubt that if you changed your mind you would do the WW justice as well.

Meanwhile I’ll get on with my small bits and pieces on my gorgeous SS 👍

I’m also looking forward to the next thread of Turnip/Tamiya goodness!
