Im still struggling to find tamiya compatible lipo's that will fit the hotshot. I run IP race packs 2c , compatible size, I bought them from Northern Beaches Hobby Centre

Snappy1 966 Posted February 1, 2019 No , they are a Tamiya Life pack , only 6.6v, you want a full 2 cell lipo at 7.4v Like this http://www.rcmart.com/intellect-iprw2s4600hvr-lipo-battery-pack-4600mah-wtamiya-plug-p-80573.html?cPath=52_1286
maraach 5 Posted February 1, 2019 Will they fit?? They seem a bit too large dont they?
Snappy1 966 Posted February 1, 2019 I have the 4000 and 4800 mah version, it fits in all my Tamiya's, incl all the hotshot chassis, except my Avante and Egress need some slight mods to fit but it does, Top Force Evos, Astutes, Blackfoot, Dyna Storm, Madcap, Terra Scorcher, Wild One etc etc etc, even my original Losi JRX2, no problem. I can even squeeze a 5500 Mah 2c lipo square pack in my Super Hotshot
maraach 5 Posted February 1, 2019 Ok. We have a winner. If the 4800 fits the hotshot that will do perfectly. Don't have the fox by any chance do you?
maraach 5 Posted February 1, 2019 It to confirm before I place the order. It's definitely this one right? https://www.nbhc.com.au/lipo-4800mah-30c-7.4v-tamiy-intl4800-2s-w3
Snappy1 966 Posted February 1, 2019 That is the exact one I have. I don't have a Fox, yet

I have a Fox and Boomerang and these NiMH fit. Its a tighter fit in the Fox than the Boomerang but may give you an idea. https://www.rcnz.com/categories/batteries-and-accessories/ni-mh-batteries/rcnz-7-2v-ni-mh-3800mah-battery-pack/
maraach 5 Posted February 21, 2019 Apologies all. Another question. Any suggestion on how to run the suspension? Should I be using any of the spacers on springs, front or rear?
maraach 5 Posted March 3, 2019 Well. It's all together now. Unlike most here I wasn't blown away with the quality of the instructions. The biggest challenge i found was woeking through some confusing bits of manual. I do however have an issue with steering I'm going to have to work through. Seems as if I have slow (but ok) steering left but barely anything to the right. Im running a high speed digital servo so something seems wrong..
