tamiya_1971 615 Posted February 3, 2019 I have some old Kyosho Mint Las Vegas wheels with glued on tires. The paint has flaked off over the years but I'd like to keep the off-white look. Any suggestions for doing this with the tires glued on the wheel? I don't think I can get the tires off without destroying them (they appear to be new). Superluminal 3750 Posted February 3, 2019 I have successfully removed some old super glued tyres by leaving them to soak in nail polish remover (the acetone breaks down the glue) i left them to soak for a couple of days in a plastic take-away box with lid on and turned them over so each side of the wheel had about a day and night soaking. The tyres came off cleanly without leaving ripped pieces of rubber stuck to the wheel. I had tried the boiling water method but this didnt do anything at all. The tyres were only fit for the bin anyway but the wheels were salvaged. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
