I ran out of e-clips! I've owned a total of (14) Tamiya remote control cars and trucks and each one brought with them a smattering of spare parts. As the family grew the collection shrank and grew as well. What remains of the collection are my childhood cars: Astute (currently restoring), Monster Racer, and Top force. I've got a couple re-releases: Egress and Bruiser that I made into a Mountaineer and the TRF 801 family. All have used a collection of Tamiya's deservedly cursed e-clips.

I'm currently bringing my Astute back up to runner condition (no Super Astute parts, happy coincidence that this is happening same time as it's younger brothers re-release). Just now while working on the rear suspension I ran out of spare E-clips! I never thought it'd happen! Only thing that'd be more shocking to me would be running out of Tamiya wrenches!

If your in the UK I can recommend stocking up on e-clips small washers, flanged lock nuts etc from Screwfix a hardware supplier. I still have a plentiful supply of such things that I bought for spares 20 years ago and came in handy finishing my M-05 chassis as someone put 10mm self tapers in a packet when there should have been 12mm machine threads for the battery holders. Small washers have been used to reduce slop on steering parts of other kits. You can buy heaps for naff all money.
