911 GT2 rear badge / sticker

Recommended Posts

Continuing on the theme of sorting out all my decals i just remembered that I have a 911 Turbo shell on a rwd chassis - effectively making a 911 GT2 (i've scratch-built a custom rear wing to resemble the GT2's). Anyway, as it's a Turbo shell the badges for it all say Turbo. I know Tamiya made a few GT2 shells, does anyone have a spare rear badge i can use?

Can anyone confirm that the GT2 decals come with a rear badge? I’ve looked at a few on eBay with decent photos and can’t see one on the sheet.

Is it just a turbo sticker you need?

What colour would it need to be?

Colour doesn’t matter but it needs to be “GT2” as opposed to “Turbo”

Still looking for one of these, quite happy for it to be a repro part if anyone knows of any available anywhere - MCI etc.

Can you post a picture? I have a box of random decals and unused sheets floating around.

The 993 GT2's has a "911 GT" decal on the rear. The "84399 - Porsche 911 GT2 Racing" has this decal in black, the "58172 - Taisan Porsche 911 GT2" has it in red. The "58215 - PIAA Porsche 911 GT2" came without one.

@TurboRSR, thanks for the info. I do remember looking at repro stickers on MCI's website and seeing the 911 GT in red and sone others without any badges

@lentner3 I'll dig out a photo of what I'm after and see if you have anything suitable, thank you
