AndyjcClod 389 Posted March 13, 2019 Hi Everyone A while ago i painted my King Hauler silver base and then a red over the top which looked great for a while. Whats now happening now is the tamiya red is starting to flake off anywhere the truck gets lightly scratched. I was wondering does anyone have any recommendations for removing the paint from the abs body so i can paint it again?

Shodog 1835 Posted March 13, 2019 Personally had good luck with oven cleaners that contain a good amount of caustic soda. Others have had good luck with car brake fluid. Takes too long for me.
topforcein 1764 Posted March 13, 2019 i used to follow this chap a year or so ago and i remember him doing the same what you want to do. the paint had cracked on my grand hauler shell and tbh i could'nt be bothered with stripping so i just brought a new one from tonystamiyaparts seeing buy the time you factor in the cost of the paint stripper and the time and effort that has to be put in plus the sanding i just could not be doing with it plus the shell only cost me £30 anyway.
