hornet rims on a falcon?

Can anyone suggest how to fit rear hornet rims to a falcon? I have the wheel adaptors but the rear shalf is simply too short. Was there any other models which had the same large dogbone setup as the falcon?

You probably are asking why would I want to do this? I have a couple of falcons (bobies in real bad shape) so I want to put beetle bodies on and the hornet rims look like a real baja bug with them on.

you could get some custom made axles made. problem is the frog axles are too long between bearing points. you would also need to convert to a thorp dog bone set up for better compatibility
