Is the filler/plastweld strong enough for bashing?

Ask @TWINSET to show you a pic of the damage from one race at Snetterton with biggus ditchus?

I intend on lining the inside with styrene and epoxy across the joints to add extra strength so I should be okay. I only lightly bash this anyway it’s more of a fun thing for me I have other rcs to get beat the snot out of 🤣🤣

How about A team livery, Mr T would definitely approve as the more wheels the better.

You still got your MT4G3 to bash with pal?

If not, what else are you finding that can take a beating?

If you study this image carefully...there is a man playing chess and a van in the background.

Gotta love a 70s paint job.

Inspiring build!!  You didn't ask for a vote, but I vote for a couple of moon windows... without them, it'd sorta look like a carton of cigarettes (unless you are going for a Marlboro livery, which would look cool too).

I agree - it needs something along the side panels - either a wide-screen graphic/airbrush style mural (I'm thinking a wild west stage-coach and horses to be suitably 70's tacky), or else some side racks with a surf-board perhaps?

I also like the idea of twin moon windows - you could even make them look like MoonEyes ?

Keep it up mydoddy69 - it's looking fabulous!

Oh no, don't go all 70s conversion van on this! Keep it cargo and business I say, vans deserve better than to be permanently associated with the worst decade in automobile history.

No windows, no murals, just paint it all white, put on a roof rack with a ladder, some utility company logos on the sides and maybe an amber lightbar.

Oh, come on!

70's had the awesomest shiny vans!

Back then, the vans came with curly mullets and mustaches too.

Are you sure you don't want psychedelic star windows?

That's a bummer, man.

It's a six-wheeled monster van. Any chance of subtlety is long gone...

Been a while but things have moved along a little, first up body mounts 6-BC64-B65-6983-4-DAE-ABF2-39186136-E38-

This is how it sits on the truck and no body pins

099-C5-CA5-4-AA3-4836-893-E-46-C4-E3488-

Then came lots of sanding filling more sanding more filling more primer more sanding you get the idea 🤣🤣

C3-A12-C45-58-D2-4-BBB-B83-D-8-D9-DA671-

2-A33219-E-032-F-4-C09-ACF1-53-F238202-F

Needs a little more work yet but it’s getting there. Moon windows didn’t workout sadly I’ve not given up on them but can’t find anything that will give me the look I want 🥴

Next up paint popped the bumpers and glass in quick just so you get a better idea

To put it simply that is a job well done. Looks like some navy sub on wheels (no offense). You could stick these where you were going to put the moon windows. ;)
