Morning all!

I have some rere Wild One wheels I want to dye, does anyone know if this will work?

I also have a CRP bumper that I want to dye as well, same question?

I have successfully dyed Hilux Monster wheels and rere Holiday buggy wheels using rit dye, but when I tried Sand Scorcher wheels I failed miserably!

Thank you

Without looking up their plastic make-up, going by touch alone, I'd say no. Wild One wheels, like Sand Scorcher wheels, are rigid like ABS or styrene. The Holiday Buggy re-re wheels have some "give" or resilience to their feel, like you could dig your fingernail into them. There's probably some nylon in their make-up which takes dye well. I'm not sure about the CRP bumper.

I agree with Saito. I've tried to dye Wild One wheels, but they didn't absorb the dye like for instance the Stardish wheels do (like re-re Holiday Buggy), which are in fact shown in the instructions for Tamiya's own dye set.

As a general rule, though possibly with exceptions, "hard" and glossy Tamiya parts don't or just poorly absorb dye, whereas the "soft" and matt Tamiya parts mostly absorb dye pretty well.

As for the CRP bumper, I have dyed an ORV (Frog) CRP-bumper without any problems though. I don't remember how the CRP Wild One bumper looks, but if it's of the same offwhite nylon as the CRP ORV bumper, it should take dye very well.

I'll tell you from experience. Dying Wild One wheels is a crapshoot. I've ruined two sets trying to do it.
