Tires for Avante lightweight wheels

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I´m looking for alternative tires for my Vanquish runner on original wheels. I have stud spike tires of the ReRe Egress on, but they are quite too grippy on grass with the Long Spikes (rollover).

So I´m Looking for an allround tire, that could be used instead for running and fit the original wheels. Should be usable on tarmac (just a Little), without wearing in 5 minutes, but also provide some grip on loose surfaces.

Don´t want to switch to 2,2 size rims.

I´m out of Buggy race Business for more than 20 years, so Need your help.:D

Thank you for any proposals!

This is a tricky one as I have found exactly the same running egress wheels on my Thunder Dragon. Really not sure about tarmac running, but on grass I put Schumacher CAT Spike rear (full spike) and then the 2.0" sized mini spike front. Seems to even out the grip front to rear. They would wear on hard surface though.

Could try Schumacher CAT blocks, blue compound would be most hard wearing.

Thanks for your help, really hard in 2,0 rim size. I think Schumacher is the only way to go. Will look into their cat tires...

Yes, that was my choice in the good old times! But they can also be quite grippy when running on grass. I think it´s time for me to try some non Tamiya tires and have look, alzhough I really like the design of the old Tamiya buggy tires.
