so heres the deal..

girlfreind has been convinced to let me buy her a RC because she likes the hornet so im buying her a hornet.. probly run a 20ish turn motor in it (lol probly wont keep up with the BL trucks modded nitros and my new jato)

i need to know how to make this thing reliable.. i got a mate who has a truck load of them eg 3 or so and a box of spares.. so what are the main things to look out for? and what upgrades are avalible for them (oil shocks?)

cheers

So you want to give your girlfriend a Horny[;)], but make it a bit better than stock. For starters I would add some bearings and then say chuck in a sport tuned maybe? I would add some oil filled shocks to the front as I think they already come stock with the rears. Well thats what it says on my NIB anyway. I am not sure on how it would handle with a sport tuned engine maybe someone can give some input on this because I may build my NIB also and go the same path as merc-blue is going.

Yes, Hornet is light, fast and pretty indestructible with normal motors, a nice beginners car, which would have been even better if its handling was a bit better...

I just done the same thing (buying my GF a RC, a TT01 and she loves it) hope you have the same luck as l did. Anyway defently throw some ball bearings in and oiled filled shocks like shermanator2 said.
