Might be old news to some of you, but today i learnt you can punch the cross pins out of dog bones and replace them (in this case from a good, but un needed spare) to save those rarer sized driveshafts.

I use a 2-stack of Tamiya 3mm flanged nuts :) perfect size & height, plus the flanges key together on compression. Serendipity!

Rotate the pins 90deg when refitting. Get double life outta your pins.

Has anyone got a remedy for keeping dog bone pins in? Is it simply putting a little super glue on the pin before placing in?

I took one of my kits out this morning only to have two pins fly out, a 3rd is poking half out.

Done that on my Dyna Storm 1995. Press out the old ones, and replace with hex axle Spline, which is even hard chromed. Works a treat.

I glue them with Loctite 648 "Fügen Welle / Nabe", which gets really strong. Superglue could work too, Needs to be tested in a car!;)
