Dakar Porsche 959 - Real Life Tyres

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if there’s a 1:10 or 1:12 46mm ID tyre that looks like the original Dakar car - pic attached ?

I’ve now got perfect 3D printed wheels but just spent hours trawling the usual sources + no tyre was spot on 🙄

That's a steel wheel. Steel. Somehow I find that pretty amazing. Sorry, not helpful, but still...steel.

How big is your wheel?

if they're M-chassis sized, have you looked at the Racing Truck tyre?

Interesting... over on the new tiny Lunchbox forum there is this photo which seems to combine M size wheels with truck tires...

Maybe a bit big for M size ?

M wheels are supposedly 41mm dia

but I believe the racing truck tyres come in option hopup softer compounds too... which might stretch over a slightly large wheels if your fingers are strong enough

been meaning to get a set of those race truck tyres, still on to-do list

Those mini lunchbox tires are 70mm diameter (pn 51589).  If those are too big you could try the m chassis rally blocks (pn 51427) or the regular 60d tires.
