Esc top speed issues

Recommended Posts

What is going on with the esc?

Quicrun 1060, brand new

Flysky gt3b

Brand new 220mAh 30C LiFe battery, xt60 connection, soldered motor wires.  It looses speed

Is the ESC set to Lipo or Ni Mi mode?

It may be hitting low voltage on lipo mode using the lower voltage life cells

It's lipo. I believe the problem is with lifepo battery. It's 6,6V, therefore the esc cutoff reacts becouse normally, lipo cuts off at 3,6. So, esc believes that the battery is empty

QuicRun auto detects voltage at turn on to determine how many cells. Supposedly the Lipo cutoff has 2 stages... if input volts is detected as 2cell it'll go to half speed when volts drop below 6.5V for 2secs. When it drops to 6.0V for 2secs it cuts the motor completely. Red LED flashes.

The NiMH setting is fixed at 4.5 & 4.0V respectively, doesn't detect start volts.

Low power cutoff. Set the ESC to NIMH mode.

I take it that your battery is 2200mah, not 220mah.

I'm using a very similar ESC on my CC01, most likely re-branded one. It's a GoolRC 60A waterproof. Using it with a Lipo. But works normal and no problems at all.

Yep, it looks like you answered your own question!  6.6V LiFe is a bit troublesome in that regard.

Like Willy and DK said, try setting the ESC to NiMH.
