novicelad 787 Posted July 19, 2019 Morning all, OK so I have just acquired a vintage Clod buster, which actually seems to work OK. However does have a couple of small issues. The front steering is rubbish, it sort of moves but the chassis twist more than the wheels turn any ideas? The MSC is very tired I would love to keep it but I am thinking will need to be upgraded to a ESC, will keep the MSC to the side. This OK for replacement? https://ebay.to/2O35gFt
Peter_B 997 Posted July 19, 2019 That ESC will be spot on. Clod wheels don't turn very much when the truck is stationary. You could possibly swap out the servo horn for a larger one to give a bit more throw.
GooneyBird 938 Posted July 19, 2019 Have a look at my Clod-thread. You can definitely get some improvement over the stock steering by swapping some things around and/or going to a bigger servo horn.
