Thanks, now I need blue turnbuckles :-D - looks superb! Is that a Tamiya ESC? What motor are you running?

Definitely need blue turnbuckles and blue stabilizer ends.

It's  got a TZ

I have mounted as much parts as possible to get a first impression whether my body kit fits and that everything lines up with the wheels. Looks really good.

Even when it seems to be that the chassis is almost finish, there still is a lot of work. Many parts are still missing - for example the drive shafts are not connected, my universal shafts are stuckin in Hongkong, etc . . . . hope that it will be not too long until all the parts are here. Than I had a look at Sven's chassis and have decided that this is too much blue for my taste. I'll go a different way and have ordered the turnbuckles and steering rods in titanium. The driveshaft is already a lightweight from evo III but not in blue.

to do list:

install 10x blue aluminium spacers

Install 10x blue ball connectors

Motor cooler with fan

Carbon front body mount stay

4 x universal shafts front & rear

2 x aluminium servo mounts

High torque servo saver

Paint cockpit

4 x 26mm Wheels HPI TE37 with inlays

Install electric and setup the car.

It"s always like an addiction once I have started the build. Have placed the next order for parts and it's slowly getting pricey.

  • 6 x titanium turnbuckle shafts
  • 10 x blue aluminium ball connectors
  • hard turnbuckle shaft (steering)
  • and some other bits and bobs . . . .

also waiting for:

  • blue aluminium motor cooler with fan
  • carbon front body mount stay
  • 4 x universal shafts front & rear
  • high torque servo saver
  • 4 x 26mm Wheels HPI TE37 with inlays
  • install electric and setup the car

Can"t wait until all parts are here. It all goes much faster than expected and I could spent hours only watching the chassis. In my opinion it looks beautiful and I'm quite happy with the outcome so far.

Carbon body mount stay from TB EVO IV cut into shape - it was just a bit too wide.

electric installed and steering shaft with blue ball connectors.

All shafts and turnbuckles will be changed into titanium ones. I hope that the parts are here in 14 days

Have you got the SSG chassis brace 53679?

It's a nice part just never seen when fitted!

I know. Have ordered my Porsche 956 parts when I ve lived in Berlin and funny, had the part together with the Raybrif NSX 2004 already in my shopping basket this afternoon :-) I don’t even have to pay 24% Greece VAT. Have to think about it ...

The drive shafts have arrived, finally ! I have made a picture of the replaced "normal" TB-02 parts and Jesus, it's a lot but they are all new and un-used.

In case anyone is looking for spare parts, just let me know.

My body kit has arrived today - the weekend is secured

I'll use it until I find a 2003 or 2004 Raybrig NSX. That's one of the most normal bodies from Tamiya and I think it looks great in Ferrari red with cockpit and clear windows and lights

Seems to me you need to pick up another tub and build a TB02-Ra rally car out of the stock parts. It's obvious really ;-)

There are still lots of parts missing: 2x ball differential, the gear housing, etc. too many parts to buy for a second chassis.

That’s a shame.

Next bunch of replacement parts on my desk, thumbs up for my Japanese dealer :-)

mainly titanium turnbuckle shafts and another set of 10 blue ball connectors, have replaced 22 in total now.

The changes are small but all the shiny parts are making this chassis looking really nice now and we are far from finish :-)

I call it finished, apart from minor details like mirror glass painting an 2 decals.  All in all a blast to build and I'm really happy with the outcome.

Off to the next project  . . . . . :-D
