Tamiya ferrari 2001 58288 or ferrari 310b?

Recommended Posts

I seek to buy a formula 1 for my collection. I prefer older models not the latest.

I am in between a 58288 ferrari 2002 and ferrari 310b. Which one is most wanted? As i understand the first is 4wd and the latter is 2wd.and the first being more realistic.

What do collectors have or get?

Of the two, the 58213 Ferrari 310B would definitely get my vote.

Based on the iconic F103RS chassis, it is a proper pan-style RWD F1 car, rather than a 4WD touring chassis cleverly engineered to fit within the confines of a F1 bodyshell. I know as a collector you may never race it, but there is still something to be said for owning a chassis that, if raced, could still compete against modern full-carbon F1 models. Plus the full-width F103 chassis fits with the proportions of the fullsize 310B, and the RWD mid-rear motor layout is in keeping with the fullsize too.

F103 or F104 is more fun, cheaper, faster, easier and cheaper to fix. Than F201.

The F201 is a fantastic shelfer for its engineering traits. I have 3 of them.
