A Kyosho RS200 or two...or three...

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Welcome to the club.

That does definitely sound like your clutch is not engaging properly. The engine is revving high, but not a lot of drive. I would take the clutch bell off, and check the shoes are not totaly worn away. Also, try roughing up the inside of the bell.

The other thing to check if you have changed the motor, are you using the same flywheel/drive, or are you using the one that came with the engine? It could be that the gear on the clutch bell is the wrong size.

They never were the fastest model out there, but they were quicker than that.

The shoes do have a fair amount of wear. They are original. The bell is also original I will rough up.

I'm using the original flywheel and bell housing. nothing came with the engine so I had to reuse the 1 off the original 11 engine.

can you buy a replacement clutch that will do the job?

They are about on sites such as ebay, but i dont know if you can buy them new for that particular application. The best thing, would be to take the old clutch to a hobby shop that does nitro stuff, and ask them to match the parts to something current.
