#12 Jurassic Park Jeep Wrangler

Recommended Posts

With the wiring done, I mounted the spare tire, mirrors, light bar, center caps to cover the mounting nuts and made some final adjustments to the body.  I then added one last minute detail.  It's not very involved, but it was a quick and easy addition.

I did some driving with the Jurassic Park Jeep this weekend.  The gears in the rear differential stripped.

Also, some gears in the Tamiya Blackfoot Xtreme behind it stripped out.  Where's the best place to get replacement parts?  Do they make metal gears for either of these trucks?  This will be my third transmission for the Blackfoot.

I would say they were/are for fitting optional side running boards/sliders - presumably Tamiya intended to offer a body upgrade 'chrome package' set or something, but never got round to it?

You could always use them to mount your own custom/aftermarket ones too of course.

The mounting points under the running boards on the wrangler body are there because tamiya altered the mold for the CR-01 release, if you look in the cr01 wrangler manual you will see body mounting parts that are attached to these!
