Was hoping to find something like dirt hawgs. But obviously they are 2.2 so not a direct fit.

It belongs to my 8 year old boy, I've just squeezed a 3s lipo in it for him and his motor is a 3300kv.

So I made a few changes.

New standard tyres( thanks for the suggestions above)

Haven't changed tyres yet, just the wheels.

1/8th scale shocks to handle the extra weight.

Spring collars fit inside suspension mounts nicely. Took the bottom adjusters off and pushed the shaft through.

Also moved them inboard a bit at the bottom. Now I can land a wheelie without the tyres rubbing and flipping it over.

Makes me wonder the reason and why somebody in Tamiya would come up with such tire design?

You call the spikes, some call them nipples, everyone loves nipples, I expect the designer couldn’t resist the idea
