Alternative wheels for the Konghead

Recommended Posts

R31House/World is a Japanese tuner specialising in the R31 generation of Nissan Skyline :) they're also known for neat crossovers into RC especially for drifting (R31 front motor chassis) & usually related to the R31 Skyline (body shells, wheels).

No idea on their Formula Kart 2WD model for which the wheels you show are meant for.

The neatest R31House goods usually done in small batches & often sellout quick.

Not quite sure what chassis is under that GRKFK set, haven't found any pics with body off. :)

They also sell a conversion kit for GRK drift car chassis to make it into loony gokart with off-road tyres... real clash of oxymorons there :P

Haven't a clue on what size their crazy buggykart wheels & tyres are, haven't found any dimensions listed anywhere.

Everything's sold out anyway, kinda makes it moot ;)

Konghead kit wheels are begat from Wild Willy WR-02 rear wheels.

I'm looking for some alternative wheels for the Konghead, as the stock chrome ones are very brittle. Does anyone know if these will fit, and if they'll also work with the stock tyres? I've not heard of R31 before.

The offset is slightly less. You'll increase your track distance about 1cm total. I like the look. I haven't tried them on the G6 chassis. The only issue that pops in to my head is that you might have trouble with the rear stearing. The tires already come very close with the stock setup. The rims also come in white and silver (though you'd probably just use the tamiya silver instead).

I've ordered a set of white ones to try on my konghead. I think 10mm more offset might be ok, we'll see.
