6,6V battery

Recommended Posts

My Tamiya 6,6 V LF battery can’t be charged anymore.  Charger say Error 2: no connection although there is nothing wrong with the connection. The battery has not been used for a long time and the voltage is only 0,4 Volts. Is there any chance I can restore the battery? I can’t find a new 6,6 Volt battery for the Beetle. No one want to ship it to Thailand

Best regards

Not sure about restoring it, generally once a battery reaches that low of voltage it cant be saved. What about looking for a A123 racing distributor because that battery has those cells in it. I had a A123 racing battery and charger around 2009 Im surprised to see they still make rc batteries. Another option is to start using lipo batteries and chargers instead.

If you have a charger for nimh you can force the battery to be charged. When the Voltage is increased you can finish the charge with the standard lifepo charger. This do not guarantee the battery is usable anymore like a brand new one.
