Bigwig steering

Hi all I've managed to fix the servo problem thanks to all your advice. But now the car is running the steering is very weak .the servo and blue steering rack all work fine but the wheels are struggling to turn any more than  a few degrees. The old steering boots are very hard so I'm  thinking it could be them that's preventing the steering rods from moving has any one had any similar problems

That's odd.  My re-issued Bigwig has no such problem.  Even an ancient Futaba S148 servo (with mere 2.4kg of torque) should be able to turn it freely.  Is yours vintage? If those boots became hard, they need to be replaced.
