Nice project. Impressive speeds.

Please be careful with soft case lipos in this application. If it gets damaged it can catch fire when you charge it up.

Will do mate.

Not sure what’s going on. I just copied and pasted the images. They show up fine for me on chrome.

Might be a Firefox issue, then.

Just me then.

@stew_mac Is the body a Colt 962 or one from another manufacturer? Annoying that I can't see the pictures, as I'd really like to see what you've done with it.

Yeah it’s a colt 190mm body.

I inserted a pic this time.

Ooh, nice! Love the stance and the modifications on the tail, especially the extra carbon fibre fences. Perversely, given that you have cut the kick-up wing right back to reduce drag, they make it look like the high-downforce version of the 962 that Porsche introduced for tighter tracks.

Did a little work to the under tray. I'm waiting on some 5mm hex for the front and 7mm hex for the rear, then i can trim off excess.

Then on to the battery holder.

The front end is sorted. 44mm steel drive shafts, correct spacers in the C’hub, 5mm hex, steel drive cups. Nothing but performance here.

@stew_mac excellent work, following with interest. One question, how do you cut your carbon? I've experience of carbon handle bars which I've always cut down under water or with a mask and goggles with a hoover fixed to take away particulates. Looking forward to seeing just how quick it goes.

I use a mask and glasses. It’s messy stuff that’s for sure.

I received the last little parts today. 7mm hex for the rear.

The drive line is complete.

The body is complete.just need to complete the under trays, battery mount and possibly look at a carbon fibre splitter.

New PB for my Tamiya. 122mph on 3s.

The second run I broke the center pulleys. 😔

That will be it for a while.

Some parts have arrived to rebuild and improve the TRF speed run cars.

No photo description available.

new mamba monster X to replace the mamba monster 2. the main improvement is data logging so i can now get some idea's on what the motor and esc are doing.

Plus some alloy center pulleys so hopefully they sone disintegrate this time. Then finally some new belts just incase.

Now the car is ready to go. I just need a couple of hours to try and make a pass.
