An air line is really good at blowing sand and dust out to if you have access to one. Just take care around your electrics.

You'll also blow grit into your bearings though :(

We used to inflate spare tyre to 60 or 80psi, whatever the max is at the petrol station air line. Then join up a schrader connector with rubber hydraulic hose to an airduster trigger nozzle... usually enough pressure to blowclean 2-3 cars if you work fast.

Otherwise paintbrush does most of the work anyway.

When holidaying in serviced apartments, they often have a vacuum... vacuum + brush does the cleanest job. :)

Regardless, our RCs get wrapped in giant garbage bags or those IKEA blue carryalls - keeps the dirt contained.

Keep your toys hidden from view whenever you're parked, don't go tempting local lowlife scum to smash breakin your car.

Maybe the SW-01 Lunch Box Mini is Tamiyas answer to this question... perfect size and performance for holidays. Good for indoors and outdoors.

I love my SW01, but it sucks outdoors, and is a bit too big to take on a plane.

I am working through this Xmas, more out of necessity than option.

Here is one from back in the day. It never occurred to me to take my HPI Q32 anywhere on holiday to honest.

Is that Cape Reinga? Or somewhere in the bay near you?

We have taken the TT02Bs and Monster Beetle on holiday but don't tend to take rcs.  Although @WillyChang makes a good point - if the point of the trip is an RC comp is that a holiday? I would like to get to some of the comps around the North Island (in New Zealand we have the best names, North Island and South Island)

I took a holiday to Cornwall a couple of years ago and I took my SCX-10 with me in case there were any good rocks to climb.  I also took my DT-02 Racing Fighter NIB, so I would have something to build if the weather was too bad to go outside.

As luck would have it, it rained pretty much solid and sideways for the entire time we were there.  I didn't bother taking the SCX-10 out because there was nowhere within walking distance worth using it.  I did however built the entire DT-02 during the week.

Have often thought the south of Spain (in the hills behind Marbella) would be a great place to bring a trail truck.  So much of the tracks there look to be just the right scale and offer just enough of a challenge that a walk is neither too boring nor too slow.  I probably could have gotten away with it when it was just me and the wife, but these days we go to Family Live resorts, we don't bother hiring a car so I can't go far off-site, and there's no way I'd risk getting an RC out with so many kids on the site (in fact I'd be surprised it there isn't some rule prohibiting it).

Yes Cape Reinga. It's quite cool seeing where the Tasman and Pacific seas meet.

Just got back from Suffolk. Auleburgh beach is beautiful, however it would be the equivalent of driving over stone footballs!!!!. No sand. However as its fairly quiet at this time of the year the coastal car parks are all but empty and the surfaces are knarley and loose. Perfect Bltzer territory. With its brushless set up its real fun to drive, unfortunately just befor the first pack gave up it lost a rear nyloc along with hex and pin. Had spares with me but didnt take a spanner:rolleyes:. Then I thought I'd try the Madbull. Ha:lol: forgot the battery retainer!!! Didnt have anything handy so sulked off. Came home at lunchtime and re assembled the Blitzer and then plyed around with some wheels and tyres and came up with this

IMG_1711.JPG.d39ed560aa94c7e2f49037b9b19bdece.JPGIMG_1709.JPG.56f8d364a98ee37a5012eab9c489a095.JPGIMG_1710.JPG.16129c2d53127341496b60cb05addf2f.JPGIMG_1708.JPG.3e4d27236d51f0e5a8bedd35ddffb7c4.JPG

A Madbull with Blitzer or arqoshot wheels and Dirt Hawgs. With a sport tuned motor this thing is fun. Full lock and full power it just spins, and spins, and spins.............. The front suspension goes bonkers. Just needs some bonkers stickers. I have a plan for either Kellogs Tony the tiger or Burger King Nascar stickers from MCI. Planning an order for my BUD Nascar Chevy TT02-S truck so Ill add them on.

I’m flying to the US tonight and bringing along two TA-02’s and four body shells. They’re gifts. I’m going to play with one of them for a week before giving it to it’s owner.
