kid168 36 Posted January 25, 2020 What are the lengths of the tie rods on the Super Astute? I wanna change them out to turnbuckles.
DGunn1 56 Posted January 26, 2020 42mm front and 38mm rear. Steering rods are 50mm.
DGunn1 56 Posted January 26, 2020 I went for the closest measurement Schumacher ones, as couldn't find 42mm tamiya ones
Jonathon Gillham 4595 Posted January 26, 2020 Check rcmart for 3Racing titanium turnbuckles. They have heaps of sizes, are cheap and I haven't bent or broken one yet
kid168 36 Posted January 26, 2020 How about bushings? What sizes are they so I can buy bearings.
DGunn1 56 Posted January 26, 2020 Rere includes bearings for gearbox and trans. This should help identify those not included and sizes: https://www.tamiya.com/english/rc/rcmanual/47381.pdf

CKU87 38 Posted February 3, 2020 Love the look 😊 Meanwhile the new decals arrived and I corrected my mistake. Have now a few stickers as spare 😅And that was a great tip with the number 5 sticker. I made two cuts and works perfect. Got also the first pieces of the front high cap dampers. Springs are on the way, so hopefully will be ready by the end of the week ☺️

They look similar to the vintage Technacraft tie rods which I have always liked the look of. You stick an allen key or similar thin tool into the hole to adjust.
