Lunchbox gpm steering rods/servo horn

Recommended Posts

Does anyone use these? They look ok but i dont understand how the splined adapter locates in the horn.

Steering rods are available in alloy or steel, which is best?

Absolutely sick of breaking servo savers after 5 mins! Been through too many.

I tried one of those on my lunchbox, the alloy version, it broke. Made my own in the end. 5mm rods, steel ends and servo saver been great since. Possibly overkill 😀

Was it the arms that broke? Did you still use the gpm servo horn?

Yes the arm broke, used the gpm high torque servo saver, M4 steel turnbuckles and silver M4 link rod ends. Works great now, started to use these servo savers on all my cars.

How does the spined bit stay in the horn, its not clear from the pics they provide.

I believe the larger silver collar does the job, but it was a year ago I used it, so memory is a bit faded.
