Don't worry, I'm just rolling out all the clodbuster jokes. Lol.

And you asked what was up with the outcast. ( I rated the video adult, don't know if worked) so there it is. Every time I ran it, the diff melted.

My 8 year old likes how the clod bounces around on its pogo stick suspension,  of course doing this in the clodbuster recklessly could start an earthquake in a far away place, so cautious acceleration is advised.

Does oil shocks be it cva or anything else help the bouncing?

Not really. The issue is that most of the weight is in the gearboxes, which is unsprung (not counting the tires, which honestly are like 75% of the suspension of a Clod). So there's a lot of weight unsprung moving up and down, and the rest of the chassis (body shell and plastic bathtub, basically) is just sorta perched on top.

But then, y'know, it's a Clod. That's just how it is. At low speed they're fine. When you go beyond stock, things get weird with them.

Legend also states that when Chuck Norris saw the Clodbuster for the first time.

He ran away crying like a baby.

The sheer size of it was the only thing he was ever afraid of.

Every time these lights fire up, global warming increased by 1/10 of 10% .

I had to stand 3 miles 5?km) away just to get them both in the same picture.

It looks like it will climb over it no problem, truth is it will probably just flip over, land on the roof, and make a dent in the Earth's gravitational field.

And when he finally dared to peek out again thru his lace curtains... he found the Clod's bigger brother The Juggernaut parked outside.

Chuck then decided to stay a hermit recluse indoors. Forever. -_-

I got them cool trucks (in box)... I just don't have the space! :(

Imho a built Clod takes 3X the volume of kitbox. Jugg even more.

Maybe I'll trip over a built one locally one day. :D although that accident might also snap a tibia and cripple me :o:huh:

C'mon guys, it's Chuck Norris. He saw that Clod, jumped in, and now it's his daily driver. He runs over lesser men with ease!

The Clodbuster is so big, it has its own moon. 😄

Which is visible in my 3rd picture, it's also creeping into the last picture.

Legend says if the sun sets on a full moon clod, the Clodbuster will develop a mind of its own.

But they were using MSC's back then. 😁

from the state of this thread, I think people have been using other three letter acronyms that rhyme with MSC...

I am totally digging the Clod love in this thread.

Every time I stick a LiPo in my clod, another polar bear drowns :(

The Clodbuster is actually the same wheelbase as the Terra crusher, it's just faster so it looks smaller. Another camera trick.

As a further request to anyone who has a Clodbuster and also a tape measure handy - please could you let me know the overall width and length (and wheelbase) of the body shell please, and particularly the width of the separate chrome grille panel too...

...I've had an idea ;o)

Many thanks in advance!

It is. Be prepared to do something special with the body mounts. I made 35 and 38 mm copy of the original to make it sit correctly. This one will be getting the polka dot treatment.

I have thought about making up a real grill also as opposed to the sticker they come with.

Widest point of body (rear wheel arches) 184mm.

438mm long excluding bumpers.

Wheelbase 275mm.

Width of grille panel is 159mm.

mm would be short for megamiles? When used in relation to the Clodbuster?

Didn't realise you could measure a clodbuster, I thought the official measurement terminology was just "massive". Lol

Perfect, thank you!

If anyone is interested - that makes it a lot closer in size to the HiLux/Trailfinder body than RC4WDs own Blazer body which is 215mm wide and around 470mm long... and the Clod presumably has a slightly lower cabin [in proportion] too.

I've already narrowed an RC4WD body and that works really well on one particular chassis I have...

However, now I've got a plan!

Two plans!

Thanks again...

I couldn't find my Chuck Norris tape measure with the 'LY' (light year) scale of measurement.
