Nice! I am intrigued by these CR01s. They look amazing chassis.

Apparently they are a bit out of date now but I don't car love the look of the chassis. Got one for my son for his birthday it's amazing

That looks like a good score to me, can I see high clearance lower arms?

Has it got the upgraded drive shafts? From what I have read, they are the only 'necessary' hop up and they are still available from RC Mart and eBay.

I still still haven't built either o fmy Rock Socker or FJ Cruiser!

Nice score. I see what looks like aluminum shocks and bellcranks and spring mounts. If your in the market to put a Blackfoot shell on it I know a guy219486217_IMG_20181125_101041(1).thumb.jpg.8e96724c8231e8d53aa546f74a6a0ee5.jpg

Also, agree about the drive shaft, I'd twisted one clean off with a brushless.

I enjoyed building mine a lot more than running it. Bit disappointing even with both diffs locked. It's sort of halfway between a comp & scaler but doesn't excell at either, but like a said a real fun & complex build.

I agree, great fun to build and modify mine but not much fun in driving it.

Congratulations, it looks a very nice rig!

You have been very lucky because it's plenty of hop-up, especially the metal axles that as of today are difficult to find. To complete the project suggest you to add the following:

- aluminum servo mount (like tamiya 54104)

- aluminum side frame 54087

- carbon mechanism deck 54111

- Aluminum skid plate 54105  (I'm not sure but maybe from the pictures is already installed)

If you add the above, you will have a dream CR01 :o

Nice servos, I use them all the time in my crawlers.  You can just hook the rear up to your third channel and control it that way, don't really need a reverser (unless your radio is not capable of 4WS).

Thanks for that, I have a Flysky i6 I use for my cars. Will I be able to do it with that? I guess I just mix the channels?

Managed some progress tonight, got the servo's mounted and tested with the ESC.

Also stripped down a bit and gave a bit of clean!

Even managed to get the AWS steering working with channel mixing first time I have done that so well happy!

This is where I am at so far, I rushed the body so made some mistakes but it looks OK

Just got to fix body to chassis and waterproof receiver

I do like the look of that body and works well with the CR-01 frame IMO

So I have been playing with my Flysky i6 to see what I can do with it.

This is a modified one basically flipped the levers over so channel 2 is on the left so get a traditional stick feel

Anyway what I have done is mixed channel 1 and 3 so that I can do all wheel steering, you can also do this by turning the throttle control up and turning off the mixing.

I don't thing it would be very practical in the real world though but may be fun to show off!
