Price of TEU302BK ESC!

Recommended Posts

A bit of a favourite esc of mine is the 302 but has anyone noticed the price of them recently?

Must be out of production hence the price but over a hunderd quid for one😲

Tamiya are still making the superstock motors so a new brushed esc maybe on the cards! 🤞

I bought one about two years ago and it was nearly £40 or so then which I knew was a bit steep - this was for a superstock too, I think I just wanted something Tamiya.

Although a 1060 is more than capable of running one and is less than half that.

I love my 302 aswell but it cost about 60 euros when I Got it 5 years ago and with no lipo cutoff .... I just buy 1060 now. I do love it being tamiya though and it looks beautiful !

So much better than the alternative

And pretty much an essential hop up for any racing kit 96+

Including the 30th Anniversary 934 - which may be driving prices ?

Does anyone know what happened to the Tamiya Expec v1 that bundled it ?

Not seen one for ages

Just to bump this - I’ve now bought a 302 in anticipation of a 49400 purchase

Beautifully made with what reads like superb functionality - noting not tried it yet

Question for others - I know compatible Volac ESCs are racing only (so no reverse etc) but are they also more responsive than the 302 ? 🤔

I've got a few sat in my spares box, retired because they don't handle Lipo. Maybe it's time to stick them on eBay

Although they've all been swapped for either Deans or XT60 connectors.
