I have a problem on 2 of my faster cars , both off road. Both tip over in fast turns or lift wheels. I realise this is a speed and technique thing but I have seen other similar cars not doing this. My cars are not as high end and have no anti roll bars or sway bars. Can anyone please give info on the difference between the 2 and the use for both? Thanks

What cars are they for starters?

What surface are you running them on?

What ride height are you running?

What suspension set up/geometry are you running compared to the the cars that aren't traction rolling?

Tamiya bettle blitzer and axial yeti. Running on grass. Both standard build and manual setup. The axial shows sway and roll bars as options. The yeti is a rock racer/ short course style so meant for uneven terrains, wondered if and why they are used, before I buy and try, many models have them as standard, none of mine have

It's very, very difficult to get the Yeti to handle at all. The front suspension geometry is a mess, the steering doesn't work properly, it has a high CG, and the rear suspension has very little roll resistance. 2.2" crawler or rock racer tires have floppy sidewalls, too. Firm closed-cell foam is a must. The biggest swaybars you can find help a lot, so do very stiff front springs and dampening and really soft rear shocks. Anything that you can do to lower the CG will really pay off; so will a low rear ride height. It's just going to take a lot of effort to tune and correct or compensate engineering flaws. Axial always seems to leave a lot on the table for us to tinker with, and, of all of their models, the Yeti was the most interesting until the Capra, which is the first all-new kit since Horizon acquired the brand. I wouldn't be surprised if Axial were to release an updated or redesigned U4 rig soon. The Horizon team has learned a lot progressing through the Twin Hammers>Baja Rey>Rock Rey, each of which was an improvement over the previous.

Any problems I have with RC cars,

I fix with more power. The blitzer will easily hold a 3s lipo if your ESC can handle it.

So I'd say that will fix the beetle. If it still only lifts one wheel after that........

More power until both front wheels head for the sky when you punch the throttle.

Fixed. :)

The Anti Roll Bar/Sway Bar on vehicles is designed to level the wheels on the same axle. You can view it as either the compressed outer side in the corner lifting the opposing wheel on the inside, or the inner side fighting against the outer stop it compressing so much.

I have fitted thicker front ARB to my Hotshot (yet to test) that is nearly as thick as the one on my Foxshot.

I also noticed in the builds of the Avante and Egress that the bars were thinner on the Avante. The rear bar on the Avante is pretty much just for show. That will be getting beefed up!!
