Hotshot gold wheel paint

What gold paint have you guys used for the hotshot wheels?

I've never found a gold spray that looks like 'chrome' gold . The plating process on the wheels is not paint from a can , so it's hard to replicate . Same goes for silver chrome

Kinda thought so, I’ll just wait till a repop set comes up for sale somewhere

spraying Tamiya clear yellow over a chrome silver base gets pretty close (you may want to tweak it slightly by adding a little clear orange)

Try Alclad. You spray a black base coat. Needs to be very smooth, followed by Alclad lacquer. Need an airbrush. It’s the closest I’ve seen to chrome.

Alclad.  Add clear varnish + yellow and red food dye as the second step.
