Weevie 0 Posted February 16, 2020 I have a TT-02 based NEO SCORCHER Unfortunately -health issues have meant that it has never been run - since purchasing & buidiing almost 6 years ago I have now decided to give it a try and discovered that the steering does not steer (the speed control works though) I can hear the servo ticking away but not moving the wheels What could be the cause of this problem ? I would swear that it did "move" once !
Juls1 1661 Posted February 16, 2020 It’s either the gears inside it are broken, or you put the wrong servo horn on it, different brand servos gave different amounts of teeth, varying from 23 to 25t so if you put a 25t horn on a servo with a 23t drive it’ll just spin inside and do not much. Problemchild 2149 Posted February 17, 2020 Or the screw has come out holding the horn on. the TT02b steering servo is such a ball ache to get to and fix JJ
Mad Ax 9325 Posted February 18, 2020 or the servo has seized due to damp or other problem. I've had this happen when a servo has been stored a while. the clicking could be internal gear stripping or the motor buzzing because it is jammed. Ultimately the only way to know for sure is to start stripping things down until it starts working or until you identify an obvious problem.
