Doesn't anyone know of a brand/model of foam inserts that suit the Lunchbox wheel size ? Everything I've found is to big or to small for the hub size.

I'm wanting to eliminate the flat tyre effect you get with the Lunchbox tyres when they are under load, but still keep the tyres relatively soft.

hi TAZ-NZ!

i dont know if you have ever seen a copy, but theres a magazine available called "nitro monster truck".

the whole idea is to build a rc monster truck from parts that come with the mag each week.

anyway, when the first issue came out everyone went crazy - becuase it came with 4 wheels, 4 tyres and 4 FOAM INSERTS [:D]

the foam inserts that came with the mag are a perect fit for lunchbox size tyres, i fitted them to my midnight pumpkin (same wheels/tyres and the lunchbox) and they work great, making the tyres much more solid and less bouncy.

the foam inserts (and the rest of the magazine truck for that matter) are "thunder tiger" parts. so thunder tiger is what you may wish to search for. i think the size is 2.2 (monster beetle, twin detinator size wheels)

when issue 1 of the mag was on sale it cost a staggering £1, bargain [:)]

Nothing premade available.

For the WW2 I used upholstery cusion foam that's 3" thick.

Cut them into strips and stuff them into the tyres.

Another thought too is if you glue the tires on and glue over the vent hole in the back of the rim they wont flatten out under a load either . Though it will be a lot more bouncier ...
