Hi, as it says in the header, does anyone have experience of buying from this seller in Japan and receiving in other countries (I'm UK)? https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/moto_hobby_jp

I've no suspicion of them being anything other than a good seller, but if people have actually received items from them, useful to know for example whether 1) packing was good & item as described; 2) sent with low declared value or actual, and 3) whether or not they removed the oils and greases from kits (and hence open/cut parts bags to do so) before sending?

Yes, bought a Volvo 850 body off him back in 2017. No problems and no import charges. Of course past performance is no guarantee of future service, but with that level of feedback I wouldn't worry.

I'd factor it into your budget and assume you are going to get charged and then be pleasantly surprised if not. If you're getting something as large/high value as a whole kit then it'll almost certainly get stopped.
