Hi all,

Well I downloaded a few manuals from the club so I could print them out.

But I thought that if I’m going to do to all trouble to print them I should

clean them up a little. I used MS Paint to rework the manuals one page at a time[:(]

Anyway have a look see[8D]

Just a little update, the Hilux manual is now finished.

I'll see if it's alright to upload it to the site for

all to use. Same thing for the Blazer manual[:)]

I've done this to most all my manuals that I have on my computer. I doubt anyone would care enough but I wouldn't mind working on a few here at TamiyaClub and getting some manuals looking nice for printout. If anyone has a scanned manual they want re-done I can work on it in photoshop for you just e-mail me.

Hi eveyone,

I’m sorry sjoerd I didn’t see your question or I would have replied right away[:I]

Well there isn’t any real tip to tell, I just edited the pages in the computer using

Microsoft paint. It takes forever (for me) to do a page[:(]

I really don’t know how to remove old tape residue from manuals I sure wish I did[V]

I will burn the cleaned up manuals to a CD and send it to Chris I will also

send a copy over to Roby[8D]

I will delete the closeup picture of the manual in my showroom next week sometime

Se ya,

Steve

Hi Steve,

I knew you didn't remove the actual tape residue... [;)] As you already told you did it with MS Paint. It looks good, you copy one part of the bumper or one part of the headlight to replace the 'dirty' part... I wish it was so easy with the actual RC's... [:P] Don't lie to me I know how you do it. [:P]

But now comes the question: is it actually worth it doing ALL of these manuals? It looks nice but what value will it add opposed to the time it takes you? [|)] I'm not trying to put you down but you have to watch out you don't have a life left anymore when doing this... [xx(] LOL

Perhaps you might want to consider investing in some fancier software... perhaps PhotoShop Elements or the full one? [;)]

The other useful edit is to correct the colour balance so the background is actually white, not yellowy-brown. You will save a LOT of yellow & photo-cyan ink in your printer, trust me.

You can get the 30 days Paint Shop Pro evaluation demo for free and it works even longer if you change the date of your pc, there exists even a little program which does that automatically and is called daykill [;)]
