Tamiya A4 Quattro body set and FF03

Recommended Posts

So I have decided to go for this body as a replacement on my FF03,

the question is, has anybody done it yet? is it a perfect fit? I before had the Civic Type R JAS Motorsport, it is I believe the 257mm version but the Audi fits a 251mm.

Is there a way to get the get the 6mm to fit the chassis perfectly?

Doesn't the FF-03 have adjustable wheelbase? I seem to recall that the rear bulkhead can be flipped/moved to give two or three different options.

Edit: Never mind, that only gives 257, 245 and 233mm options.

Are you sure that the Audi is 251mm?

I think it's 257mm, it's the same body on the tt01e as was used on the ta03f.

Also, there are quite a few spacers either side of the front and rear arms. My FF03 is running about 254mm wheelbase with all the spacers on the rear arms behind the arms, but in the longest wheelbase setting on the chassis tub so that it fits my 306 Maxi nicely.

Sacrilege! A Touring car which dominated by being all-wheel-drive, sitting on a FWD platform?

It's as bad as putting a Mazda MX-5 on a front-wheel-drive Mini platform.

...Oh wait

The A4 was dominating until they have banned the Quattros. After that the Audi was FWD and not so successful.
