Sorry Al,

That last post wasn't directed at you...I just read it again, and indeed there is a line that appears to be aimed at you. Apologies, I'l go edit it.

I noticed he was a bit quick to be rude to Redfrits in another forum that I read before I first posted here and it fired me up. Thats why I suggested he needed to chill......

Cheers,

Drew.

As Terry suggested, come live in Australia, where none of the re-re's make it to the shops locally.

G'day Drewboy, from a fellow Aussie :)

The recent batch of re-releases are nowhere to be found in Australia.

But I did see the XR311 and Tyrell 6 wheeler in shops here. So technically we did get some....etc.

Why those earlier releases were available, while the recent ones are not, beats me. Not even Hobbyco in Sydney, possibly the nation's largest store, had heard of the Hornet re-release last time I checked.

But that's ok. Why would anyone want to buy over the counter here anyway? Importing is often far cheaper.

Quick example. I bought my father a Tamiya Yamaha 40EX yacht last Christmas. Stuff needed: Yacht kit, heavy duty steering servo, radio gear.

Hobbyco prices:

Yacht $600, Steering servo $250, Radio gear $100.

Total = AU$950.

What I paid via the internet:

Yacht kit $300 (incl. postage) on ebay from Singapore.

Tamiya Adspec Sailing Radio kit (which includes big steering servo) (incl postage) $300 from Hobby store in Canada.

Total = AU$600

From memory, the Tyrell 6 wheeler was AU$450 in my local hobby shop. What's the equivalent in uS$, roughly uS$350? It must be cheaper than that on ebay.

cheers,

H.

right as i have said i was at no point rude or funny with the sale rep on the phone in fact i was very polite with her. as i have also said when i phone'd up asking for info on these 2 re-releases so i can at least give my lhs some more buisness witch in turn they will buy from them and keep them in a job and just got a attitude from the sale rep its not on as i said i said i cant belive you have never herd of these 2 models witch i still can't belive she has not.

and aslo as i have said i am not heated, i am very calm i just dont appreciate some one piping up with out the facts and you dont know them apart from what i have already typed. you was'nt on the other end of the phone line so dont comment on something you know nothing off,(thankyou) i know what i said and how i conducted my self on the phone and i was polite at all times i did not have a funny one on with her it was the other way round and for no reason at all. know i i wanted i should put a complaint in about her but i aint like that.

so its about about time you stoped poking your nose in to other peoples lifes.if you dont know the facts them dont presume something and make a big issue out of nothing as you have done with this.

And I still don't know what 'Mush'means in that context [;)][:0][V][?][8)]

But hey, what this discussion is about right now makes no sense. I think it also has to do with Tpfercein not using cappitels, dots and comma's, making his sentences sound aggressive and without any sort of emotions (is this correct Englisch??). Me and my GF stopped arguing over email or SMS since we sometimes couldn't express ourselves correctly over this medium, and misunderstandings would follow. Now we just shout at each other and know what our 'emotions' are :)

Mate,

your post actually reads as being very agressive, maybe it is very calm and considered, but that doesn't come accros in the message. Phrases like "piping up" and "sticking your nose in" don't suggest calmness to me but aggression.

I never stuck my nose into your business.....you posted your business here, and if you only gave the people here half the facts, who's problem is that....not mine thats for sure. If you don't want someone to comment on part facts, don't post part facts. Post the whole story. There is no point getting annoyed with me when I make comment if I only have half the facts to go on (you only gave us half of them in the post).

Also, if you don't want people to comment about something, don't post. Last time I checked it was a free world (sort of anyway) and I am allowed to pass comment on anything I see fit...within reason (though I admit this has got completely off topic and is my last post on the subject).

From the beginning, my intention was not to "stick my nose into your business" or to annoy you (though that seems to be easilly done), but to back up a couple of Terrys remarks, suggest you calm down a little and that by typing in capitals you are actually being agressive or 'shouting'.

Instead I copped a bake.....thanks.

That is all.
