Wanted thunder dragon part A5

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, was given this car 15/20 years ago, at the time I wasn't able to get this part but my kids have recently found my old tamiya stuff so looking to finally get this running.

also to complement the replacement a5, get a steel spport bracket from model build off ebay

in fact if your a5 is only split, it should still be ok as long as you use the steel support

I think I've got one of these - will check this weekend and let you know.

Is there anything else you need for it while I'm checking?

The motor mount is the only piece I'm missing I think, I've found that on ebay but if you can have a look it'd be great.

If you want one that doesn't break, my Super A5 is worth a look. http://shpws.me/RIE1 You need some long suspension shafts, but it's worth it. Mine has been solid with lots of track running.

I'll probably run it once then put it back away, I don't particularly like it, but I've had it for years and never bothered getting it working 🤣

Once you get it running and have tried it out, you may change your mind. It is a good performer, especially on older more uneven tracks.

I'm afraid of that, I had my first car (mad bull) 20 years ago, hop ups & spares meant a visit to antics or beaties, I did actually order the part for the thunder dragon from antics but I think tamiya were going through a buy out? Anyway now I'm older, have a job & the Internet, this is going to get expensive quick!

Hey! So, I've looked and looked but cannot find the A5 part anywhere - just about everything else, but not that! Really sorry about that.

I have found the metal motor plate though, so if you want that still it's yours.

Decided to double check it was only the A5 part I needed but it looks like I've also misplaced one of these.... Not even sure what it's called to look on ebay.

If your missing the rear bumper then there must be an issue over the 36mm screw???? (Commonly gets bent!)

How much you looking for? The bumper is there but snapped, not essential, everything you have is what's needed to get it running.

£20 inc. Shipping, those motor tubes can be tricky to get but you could use 4 of the more common 4x6mm tubes (used on shocks)
