Frog diff

Anyone got any info on the rerelease frog diff? looks the same from the outside from the pics, but is there a ball diff hiding inside there?

No. Probably no ball diff. Re-releases don't change from originals due to production costs. Maybe some third parts will be rereleased again.

If i cant find upgraded dog bones for my beetle im going to find a machinist to make them. Ive seen this done before on frogs, old yokomos etc. Never wear out or break again. Just gotta find some one with the skills to make them.

You only really need to make a pair of long joint shafts, since they're not replaceable with any off the shelf parts.

The TA04 gearbox joints are a direct fit into the Frog diff, and depending on the outdrives you make, you can either use TA04 39mm or TB02 42mm dogbones.

See if oldfrogshot (member on this site) still has some of his custom machined Frog outdrives for sale. They come with a small spacer ring as well that allows you to use either the 39mm or 42mm dogbones.
