New guy SOS! New build goes to full throttle when turned on

Hi all,

Im new to rc, but I’ve been lurking for a while. Just bough my first car (CC01 unimog), and it’s built apart from the shell, and I’m loving it. But I’ve got an issue; when I turn on the car/transmitter sometimes it goes wild, and goes to full throttle until I turn the car off at the body. Not very time, maybe every 3rd time. Is there a sequence or anything for turning in the car that I’m missing? Just can’t get my head round it!!

What speed controller, receiver and transmitter set up are you using?

If its an XB model (factory built ready to run) it should be good out of the box. The start up sequence is to always switch on the hand held transmitter first and then the car after.

Ah thanks for that, no I didn’t know there was a sequence to follow. Just tried it a couple times and it been good with no crazy full throttle!
