Static Models?

Recommended Posts

Somehow I have it in my head that we used to have a dedicated forum for this topic, maybe it's just the fact that I've been shut in for 3 weeks playing tricks on my mind. Anyways, to satisfy my building urge without killing my limited resources for the time being. (Haven't worked in over a month), I've turned to plastic model building for the time being. My 1st kit in over 30 years! It was a bit messy, with some tough detailing work, but overall satisfactory. The 2nd was a Honda classic CBR750. A much easier build, and I enjoyed the larger scale.

Anyone else doing static models to pass the time?

haven't started any kits yet, but have a number of military and cars ones I want to have a crack at while I have some time. Plus I have some kits I had as a teenager I want to try and resurrect.

I'm working on a 1/48 Hobbyboss A-7. I do 1/48 American Cold War stuff from time to time.

I have this on my work bench.  I have been hesitant to start due to the cost and I am not real confident in my ability to build it well.

If your over 14 you should be ok😆

I have more than tripled 14.

I think the last plastic model i built was when i was 14.  My close vision isn't what it used to be, and my hands are no longer steady.   It is such a nice looking model, I just want to do it justice.

If anything like my airfix work at 14 I had a ball of balsa cement with bits of plastic airplane parts sticking out ;)
